Meet Dr. Sathpathy

From an early age, my parents encouraged in me curiosity and inquisitiveness in humanity. This attracted me to the profession of psychiatry, which gave me the opportunity to have a positive impact on an individual. Empowering each patient is of my highest concern and make every effort to instill confidence and provide support through the healing process.

I attempt to incorporate all the resources in the community to provide my patients with the best possible treatment and outcome. I believe that Interventional Psychiatry has a prominent place in the field of mental health. I have seen patients who achieve partial remission or who would like options beyond medication and talk therapy such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or TMS. Outside of work, my greatest pleasure is in spending time with my wife and two children. I also enjoy reading historical fiction and traveling.

Meet Jessica Richardson

I moved to San Diego from St. Louis, Missouri in 2018. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) in 2018 and my master’s degree as a nurse practitioner in 2024. I am certified as a psychiatric /mental health nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.I served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps, acquiring various nursing experiences. Much of my experience includes work in the inpatient psychiatric/mental health unit, where I treated patients with chronic and persistent mental health disorders. In addition, I have extensive nursing experience working in medical-surgical units.

I am skilled in treating patients with various concerns, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Alongside medication, I believe there are many tools used to address mental health concerns. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as exploring the San Diego area.

Meet Kathleen Satriano

I’m Kathleen Satriano, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I earned my Master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. During my nursing studies, I developed a deep passion for working with mental health patients, which led me to begin my career at an inpatient psychiatric facility immediately after earning my BSN. I spent 11 years in this setting, including three years on the child/adolescent inpatient unit and eight years in the admissions department, assessing patients across all age groups.

Additionally, for 2 years I had the privilege of contributing to a research program focused on early-onset psychosis and for 3 years I worked as a clinical adjunct for PLNU's School of Nursing guiding senior nursing students through their mental health rotation. Before becoming a PMHNP, I gained extensive experience in mental health nursing, where I saw firsthand the challenges patients face in accessing proper care. This drove me to pursue my PMHNP certification to have a greater impact on my patients’ well-being. Currently, I provide care for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with a range of psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more.
